About Andrea

My passion has always been working with children. In high school, I served as an infant and elementary Sunday School teacher and Primary Day Camp Director. As an undergraduate, I worked at our on-campus daycare, where I specialized in the infant and 5-year-old classrooms. During this time, I provided full-time caregiving for an infant boy while his parents transitioned out of parental leave. More recently, I completed my PhD in Educational Neuroscience, with a focus on reading development during childhood. My graduate courses and daily research experiences with children have given me incredible expertise in child development and literacy. Through these experiences (and more!), I have developed a rich set of caregiving skills for infancy through adolescence. I am attentive, warm, curious, and driven, and believe in providing personalized, play-focused learning environments for each child. I am looking to grow with a family and provide a safe place for their kiddo(s) to land!
