About Andrea

Andrea is a true gem that we were incredibly lucky to find. Our story with Andrea began 6 years ago when she was hired by our family to provide assistance with activities of daily living and companionship to our father. Upon first meeting Andrea we were struck by her warmth and gentle persona. Our father, who had very high standards and was known for his very particular ways, in short time began to look forward to the days Andrea would come and regarded them as highlights in his week. Throughout the ups and downs of our father's health journey Andrea remained steadfast in her care..always reliable, always timely, and incredibly trustworthy. Of her many attributes was her intuitiveness and intelligence when handling challenging or crisis situations - she always remained calm and reassuring and helped our father to feel secure. There were many times over the years that Andrea served as his 'life preserver' until the situation calmed. Throughout countless hospitalizations, many for extended days and weeks, Andrea remained a supportive and integral part of all of our lives spending time at the hospital visiting and reassuring our father. At home, Andrea provided not only physical care but emotional support always listening with patience as he reminisced about his beloved wife and stories from his past. Another remarkable quality about Andrea is her ability to truly listen..she made our father feel that he was truly being heard and that his stories, no matter how many times repeated, were important. She always listened with intent by looking at him when he spoke. When Andrea was on the job she was fully engaged and present - never distracted by her cell phone or personal business. As a communicator, Andrea excels in this area as well. Our family came to rely on her updates and observations about changes in his condition. But above all, Andrea maintained a natural spirit of gentleness and kindness with a sense of compassion that set her apart. Deeply caring and thoughtful she looks for the goodness in others, finds the joy in life, and seeks to serve others, always with a smile. Her presence in our family has truly been a blessing and her friendship is one we will long cherish. Though our dear father has recently passed we will never forget her countless acts of kindness, many of which I’m sure we never even knew about. Additionally, Andrea is extremely humble! Her care of our father was exceptional and so it is with utmost confidence that we recommend her. Whoever receives care from Andrea will receive a wonderful blessing.
