Caring for others isn't just a job for me; it's a calling. After my experience caring for my grandmother, I realized my passion for helping others. Working security at a retirement facility further solidified my desire to work with seniors, leading me to become a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA). For the last two years, I've been working as an STNA. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle confusion with patience. I communicate with families through written daily reports, using their preferred method. I provide light housekeeping and prepare meals. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. Building a connection with your loved one is important to me. I respect their wishes, encourage independence, and prioritize their dignity. I love learning about their lives and earning their trust.
