I have extensive experience as a nanny. I have excellent references and have come highly recommended by my families. I absolutely love children. I have over 10 years' experience as a nanny (not including babysitting at a young age). I am currently in a counseling/social work job but miss taking care of children. I have a Master's degree in Psychology and am working on another Master's in Writing. I have cared for adopted children, special needs, sick children, twins, and children with health issues (including feeding tubes), and children anywhere from 3 weeks old to 12 years old. I have taken care of a family with anywhere from two to four children. My last nanny job was an absolute joy! But at the time I returned to school as I knew the children were going to be in school full-time soon and I would no longer be needed. I still keep in touch with most of the families and have a great relationship with them. Some of the little ones I've cared for are now in high school! Even more recently, I cared for two boys who were 6 months old then until they were 15 months old. That was in the DC area but I have since returned to New Jersey. Some of my duties as a nanny included, obviously caring for the children; bathing, laundry, getting them ready for school, taking them to the pool, playing with them, taking them to the library, tickle time, parks, play dates, nature walks, going out for ice cream, and kissing boo-boos. I've always gone above and beyond in caring for children and their families: doing extras; light housework, cooking for family, carpooling, shopping. I've always been trusted to use my personal discretion when caring for children. I am quite animated with children. My mannerism is proper so don't be surprised if my mannerism rubs off on little ones. I am very interactive with children. I think it is important because if the children are having a good day, they will be happy, and so will you.
