About Ana

Hello! I'm an energetic, caring, reliable, and responsible recent graduate from UCLA. I graduated magna cum laude with a psychology degree and in the honors college. While at UCLA, I took various classes that apply to my work as a sitter. Classes include developmental psychology, the psychology of emotions, perceptual development, cognitive psychology, and the fundamentals of learning. I've previously tutored elementary school students with Reading Partners LA where I taught children the alphabet, how to pronounce multi-syllabic words, general reading skills, and coping skills to manage their frustration. Additionally, I have worked with Walk With Sally where I individually mentored children who have been impacted by cancer. The combination of these experiences has furthered my passion for working with children. I have the knowledge to assess how a child's mood is developing and de-escalate difficult situations.
