I love working with children and I strive to do my best to foster their creativity, (reading, music , crafts) listening deeply to their needs and encourage them to play in nature . I've been fortunate enough to work with families with three children. The more, the merrier! Together we learn to share with peers, learn numbers and shapes through exciting educational games. I am a lover of art and architecture and I enjoy doing art and crafts projects with kids. We also work together to talk about emotions and how we can express them in a healthy way, especially with the little ones. I am a responsible, reliable, and active nanny who loves outdoors! I will have a great time with your kids if you give me the opportunity.
My husband and I cannot recommend our nanny, Ana (Iso), highly enough. She joined our family in 2016 and cared for our children full time for eight years, continuing part time for another two years while my youngest was only in school for half days. Over the past decade, she has become far more than a caregiver to us. She is truly like family. Iso is honest, dependable, and reliable. We always knew our children were safe, supported, and deeply cared for in her hands. She has a remarkable ability to understand kids’ needs, emotions, and personalities, and to respond with patience, warmth, and wisdom. She never seemed to grow tired or impatient with our kids’ creative ideas; instead, she fostered a sense of confidence by responding with excitement and jumping right in to help them build a fort (for the 50th time) or going outside to have a picnic lunch on a nice day. I was always thankful knowing the kids were getting such warm and positive responses to those types of requests, as I felt like they didn’t always even get them from us on the weekends after a long week! Iso was always taking them outside for walks and adventures, and she would point out small things in nature and delight any time the kids would find a unique rock, flower, leaf, or even stick! I believe my kids’ love for nature, confidence, and how they positively view and respond to new adventures to this day is because of how Iso consistently responded with encouragement and excitement to their creative ideas in their formative years. Iso is very health conscious and would often show up with a homemade smoothie in her hand. She also is very generous and would happily allow the kids to try different things she brought for herself for lunch. She was always very mindful of the kids’ health and would make the most delightful plates of healthy fruits, vegetables, and other snacks when the kids were hungry throughout the day. The pride she takes in all the work she does is evident in everything, even how she prepared the kids’ lunch boxes for their lunch the following day. Everything is neatly in its place, and I could always tell the huge difference between when she prepared the lunches versus my husband! (I preferred hers every time!!) 😊 Iso maintained the perfect balance of appropriately handling any situation with the kids during the day while always keeping me in the loop on issues that needed more attention. This was for the occasional bump and bruise but also for emotional issues she may have perceived. Nothing went unnoticed, and I knew she would be aware of any behavior changes, even slight. I always appreciated how she would build my husband and me up to the kids during the day, reminding them always of how much they are loved by their parents (and their nanny)! It was nearly certain we would come home every day to handmade, thoughtful cards she helped them make for us. As she pursued work as an architect before becoming our nanny, I was always amazed at her amazing drawings for the kids. Iso has exceptional intuition in public settings and maintained a calm, attentive awareness of our children’s safety and surroundings. While navigating busy parks, schools, or activities, she always demonstrated excellent judgment, proactively anticipating situations and ensuring our children were always supervised and secure. She always made sure the kids didn’t ride their bikes too far ahead and was always reminding them of how to safely cross streets and stay aware. Iso has a strong work ethic and literally never left us hanging with excuses or complaints. For a DECADE, not once did she forget to come to work or pick up the kids. In fact, even during a brief period when she didn’t have a car due to it being in the shop, she quietly changed her own routine to take public transportation to ensure she made it to our house on time. If she said she would be here, we knew we could trust that. She also was (and still is) extremely flexible and open to helping us if something popped up, even occasionally on the weekends. She would sometimes even stay at our house with the kids for 2-3 nights for special events, such as a few weekend work trip opportunities and with my older two kids when our third was born (during COVID). Also, in 2018 when my husband was deployed for 10 months, she was such a blessing to me, bringing help, organization, and calmness to the household so I could continue my work routine. We just knew we could trust her to be there for us, with a positive demeanor and presence. Iso brought stability, kindness, love, and professionalism into our home every single day. Our children adore her, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have her as such an important part of their lives and our family’s journey. We recommend Iso wholeheartedly and without hesitation. It would be impossible to truly capture all the incredible care, support, and positive impact she brought to our family over the years in a written recommendation, so my husband and I would be happy to connect with a prospective family. After having her as such an important part of our lives for so many years, I can confidently say she is one of the most trustworthy, caring, and dedicated people we have ever known. She is a bright and shining light in this world, and any family would be lucky to have her!
