Hi, I was a nanny for several years before I had kids. My two amazing kids and I will be home for the summer so I thought I'd see if anyone is looking for summertime care! Your child(ren) could come to my home and do fun summer stuff with us. I have an updated teaching license. I have volunteered regularly at their school. A typical summer day at my home would be outside time, nature walks, playing with dogs, chalk art, and going to parks or splash pads. I do homeschool books in the afternoon (when it's hot)-reading, writing, science projects, bell kits, etc. We have structured fun and also free play (let them be bored and get creative-like a spontaneous dance party or hand stands in the yard). We openly practice recognizing our feelings, getting along, compromising, being kind, responsibility (chores/cleaning up), looking for opportunities to be helpful, being flexible, having a positive attitude and more. I use positive reinforcement 1st. Ages 4-8 would probably fit well.
