About Amy

I have my Masters in Secondary Education at URI and have completed coursework in child and developmental psychology. I speak English, Spanish, and German and have tutored students ages 11 to 21 in math, science, history, and English. I also have experience with helping younger family members and students with learning disabilities like ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, and anxiety problems. I have a lot of patience and am always willing to find a way to explain the material to the student until they completely understand it backwards and forwards. I love children and I especially love seeing the look on a struggling student's face when they finally comprehend the subject. I find tutoring to be one of the best and most rewarding volunteer opportunities I have gotten the privilege to do. I am also interested in nannying throughout the summer as well!
