About Amy

Hi! My name is Amy and I'm a recently retired teacher of 25 years. I started my career in 2nd grade and spent the second half of my career as the building Learning Specialist. In that role I offered reading and math interventions to small groups of students. My passion is teaching and helping students to read! I'd describe my personality as experienced, loyal and hardworking. I like tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to use my skills in a one-on-one setting to make the most impact. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends, read, go to concerts and sporting events, and spend time outside when the weather is nice. One thing you should know about me is that I use a blend of teaching, coaching and my years of mothering experience to create a unique relationship with each child. My skills include being punctual, being prepared and being an excellent communicator.
