I've been tutoring for more than 20 years with students as young as 4 all the way through college including adults. I have tutored in a variety of subjects and specialize in math and science, including advanced math and science. I believe that it is important to understand the process to get the right answer (so that a student can do it independently later) compared to just getting the right answer. Learning the study skills is part of what I try to include in my tutoring. I also try to relate subjects to a student's interests and the real world. I often find that it makes it more exciting and motivating to learn the subject. I prefer to build relationships with both the child and parents, but I am available for both long-term tutoring as well as tutoring for specific projects. I offer in person as well as virtual tutoring.
