Hello parents, I'm dedicated and highly experienced Newborn Care Specialist, Postpartum Doula, and Professional Nanny with a deep passion for supporting families during the transformative early stages of parenthood. I specialize in providing expert care for newborns while offering coma passionate guidance to parents as they adjust to life with their baby. My approach combines strong knowledge of infant development, safe sleep practices, feeding support, and soothing techniques to ensure newborns receive the highest level of care while parents gain confidence and peace of mind. I am experienced in establishing healthy sleep routines, supporting breastfeeding and bottle feeding, providing overnight newborn care, and monitoring developmental milestones. I create calm, structured environments that promote healthy growth and emotional security for infants while allowing parents the rest and reassurance they need during the postpartum period. I take pride in what I do!
We first hired Amy when our daughter was 2.5 months old and we were flat out exhausted and needed help. Amy was able to give us full-time coverage (7 days a week), for 10 hours a night. We did try out another caregiver at the same time, but Amy was far and away the better of the two. She comes with a wealth of knowledge from decades of experience working with families and with children of all ages. As first time parents, Amy was able to offer us context for what our daughter was going through at various stages, and how to prepare for the next stage. As one example, she suggested that we gradually wean our daughter off a swaddle as she got closer to rolling, by keeping one arm out of the swaddle at night. That benefited us greatly because we were able to get her completely used to a sleep sack before she rolled over, which gave us a lot of peace of mind at night! Amy has had a lot of tips like that that we didn't get from any of the books we read. Anytime we were going through a hard time with our daughter (such as when she would cry for 30-60 minutes every night for no clear reason), Amy would actively problem-solve with us. She would do external research, bring us her experience, but always suggest we talk to our pediatrician as well. Even when we couldn't find an exact cause, Amy's partnership helped us feel a lot less alone. Beyond what she did for our daughter, she gave us as parents a lot of validation, listened to our struggles, and was there as another support system. We originally envisioned only working with Amy for a month or so until we got back on our feet, but 1 month turned into two, which has turned into 5. While we need far less support than we did, we've opted to keep Amy on in an ongoing capacity so that we have someone our daughter knows and likes, and someone we really trust, to call on as a babysitter as she grows up. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone (new or experienced parents) looking for overnight support for their child. Amy brings a sense of enthusiasm, positivity, and hard work to the job, and it is a real pleasure to work with her!
