About Amy

I'm a retired elementary teacher, specializing in reading. I'd describe my personality as fun, creative, and caring. I like working with kids because I love helping them learn and discover the world around them. I love helping them grow and develop. I'm looking for a job that allows me to enrich lives and make a difference. I would prefer a house with no pets. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I began tutoring, babysitting, and teaching Mother's Day out. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and in particular to grow readers. In my spare time, I like to read, do puzzles, cook, and play piano. One thing you should know about me is your child will come first and will be my main focus. I am very hands-on with lots of experiential learning and activities. My skills include listening, creativity, and caring.
