About Amy

I'm a 65-year-old former magazine editor with quite a bit of experience working with seniors. Most recently I cared for my parents in their home near Spring Green, trying to make their last years comfortable and fulfilling as they aged in place. Previously (in 2021) I worked as companion to an 85-year-old lady in Madison. I kept her house spotless, helped her with meals, drove her to appointments, and accompanied her on lots of walks. Before that I served as personal assistant to a blind lady in her nineties in Vermont. I managed her social calendar, correspondence, and medical care; drove her to appointments; and helped her stay engaged and active in her community. (I have also worked as a home health aide, a nurse's aide at a hospital, and an assistant at a cancer clinic -- but that was decades ago, during college.) I'm cheerful, loving, conscientious, detail-oriented, and organized, with a good sense of humor and tons of energy (longtime runner). Disclosure: I'm a terrible cook.
