About Amy

I believe that every child can learn. Each child has their own unique skills and interests, and as their teacher, my job will be to strengthen those skills and empower them to grow in the areas in which they may struggle. As a licensed teacher in Early Childhood and Mild to Moderate Disabilities, I specialize in teaching children to read. I prioritize engaging my students through fun games that are geared at their interests. Hands on activities in a child's preferred interests make concepts fun and achieveable for the child. I work to build my relationship with both the child, and their parents, because I know that children learn best when they feel safe and supported to do hard tasks. I maintain clear and consistent communication with families to ensure we are always working as a collaborative team. I am excited to help your child reach their learning goals!
