About Amy

I've been a PS Teacher for 6 years & lived in PA for 20 years but am finally moving back to my home state of NJ! I'm CPR certified, have all my clearances (PA) & have dozens of online and in person trainings. Most of my experience is with PS to K, practicing fine/gross motor skills, letter & number recognition & emergent reading. I'd describe my personality as fun, empathetic & down to earth. I like working with kids because they make me laugh! I'm looking for a friendly & supportive work environment. 15 years ago I took care of children in my home before & after school. I stopped for a few years to work as a legal assistant but became a PS teacher 6 years ago. I like to read, watch bad reality TV & spend time with my kids. I really care about raising children to be kind, respectful and decent human beings. My skills include developing meaningful relationships, having a sense of humor and teaching not only academics but how to be an empathetic human being.
