About Amy

Hi! I'm a former elementary school teacher with experience K-8 in Lang. Arts, Math, along with experience as a private tutor, home school mom/teacher, and substitute teacher. I have worked and/or volunteered in all settings: public school, private school, personal tutor, public charter school, cyber school, and home school (my own non-cyber curriculum). I have a 15 yr. old/9th grader and a college graduate daughter/Scientist who lives on her own in the Lancaster area. Promoting strong study skills and an overall love of learning is a top priority, all in an enjoyable manner. I aim to connect with my students in their high interest areas (sports, animals, etc.) through which I can target the skills that need strengthening. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I usually like to first meet with parent(s) without the children present at a library or cafe, or phone/video chat, so that we can openly discuss parent expectations and handle relevant questions.
