About Amy

I am an experienced, licensed elementary educator with more than 25 years of experience helping children grow in confidence and become successful learners. I hold a B. A. in Elementary Education and an Ohio teaching license for grades 1-8. My background includes classroom teaching, Title I reading and math intervention, online tutoring, ESL instruction, and working with homeschool students. I especially enjoy working with elementary-aged children who need extra support in reading, phonics, spelling, writing, and foundational math skills. I have training in the Science of Reading and Literacy Essentials and believe in providing structured, encouraging instruction that meets each child where they are. My goal is not only to strengthen academic skills, but also to help children feel capable and confident as learners. I am available for a limited number of after-school/evening and weekend tutoring sessions in the North Canton area.
