About Amy

I am an artist who has lived in New York for the past 10 years, with a BFA in Illustration from Pratt Institute and and MFA from Hunter College. I have actively worked with children for 8 years as a teacher to children K-8 in after school enrichment art programs, and have experience babysitting toddlers and elementary school age children for 4 years. During this time, I helped the children with homework, took them to camp, taught them art, and cooked meals. I love working with kids, and especially encouraging them to be creative. My experience as a Residence Advisor in my living hall for two years has taught me valuable methods for homework help/time management, providing emotional support, and responding to crisis/medical emergencies. I'm easygoing, responsible, organized and fun-loving! I can easily adapt to your schedule/needs, and would be able to pick up additional tasks such as cooking, cleaning, making grocery runs, etc. to help make your life as easy as it can be.
