Kids are magical. This, I firmly believe. With little ones, the world is new and exciting and that contagious energy is why I've always enjoyed spending time with children. Growing up, I often babysat for several families in the neighborhood and as a senior in high school I worked as a teacher at the on-campus preschool. My former student and her family often joke about how I taught her to write her name, say her address and smile with her eyes open! ;) To know I had a small but lasting impact on this young person's life is so special and I m reminded of the great responsibilities and the even greater joys of caring for a child. And that is what I'd most like parents and families considering me as a caregiver to know. This is more than a job. It is a small part of your little human's life experience. The gravity of that fact is not lost on me and, given the opportunity, I'd work to make the precious time we had together happy, healthy and loads of fun!

We used Amy to babysit for our 3 year old son for about 3 months, and only stopped using her because we moved out of state. Amy is a great babysitter and we'd hire her again in a heartbeat. Most importantly, our son absolutely loved playing with her because, like Amy, he is creative and loves to use his imagination. Amy was down for whatever crazy games and scenarios he wanted to act out, and her demeanor never changed. She is quietly disciplinary and very professional about the work; always communicating above and beyond. We used her everyday M-F, but had a very flexible arrangement in case she wanted to pursue auditions or other work. By offering this flexibility, we were able to score an A+ caregiver for a pretty small job (2 hours a day), and best of all, her acting pursuits rarely interfered with our schedule. It's also worth noting that Amy always left the house as she found it. If you're looking for a sitter and Amy is available, you won't be disappointed.
