I have over 20 years of experience teaching and nurturing children. I raised two daughters and taught at the elementary level for 6 years. I ran my own daycare and after school program as well as owned two after school arts programs, taught creative writing and worked as a reading instructor. Children are wonderful! I have had jobs working with adults but now I am interested in working with children again. I am a warm and caring care provider. I find children to be amazing and enjoy providing a caring, safe atmosphere where they can explore and learn. I love reading to children and facilitating their learning and nurturing.

We can’t say enough good things about Amy! She nannied our daughter from 8-15 months, before we started daycare (was always the plan, before we hired her). Amy is incredibly responsive and reliable. This was our first child and we were home with her for the first 8 months, so I was a bit nervous to have someone care for her when my husband and I returned to work. Amy followed all instructions I had laid out, and always gave me updates throughout the day. She was so kind, warm and loving with our daughter, who truly loved being with her. Their days were spent reading, listening to music and singing, which I strongly believe is what helped our daughter develop such strong speech at an early age. We’ve moved out of state, but I would hire Amy in a heartbeat for our second child, if I could!
