About Amrita

I an upcoming senior at UIC. I have 2 years of experience working as an assistant martial arts instructor as well as a swim instructor for 13 months. I'm studying psychology in my undergrad and am working to do my Master's in social work. I'd describe my personality as creative, adaptible, and empathetic! I like working with kids because I enjoy taking care of them and fostering a safe environment to cultivate growth and often find that there's a lot I, too, can learn from kids! I'm always excited to hear from their fresh perspectives. In my spare time, I like to fence for my university club and write prose. One thing you should know about me is that social work is going to be my life's work, so I regard my responsibilities in child care with the utmost importance. I'm looking for a job that I can provide services over the summer.
