About Amos

Hello, I am a certified educator with a generalist certification for 4-8th grade and a math certification for 8-12th grade. The generalist certification is for all subjects 4-8. My preferred subjects for tutoring are English, math, and science. I started tutoring in 2010, and have been doing it on and off. Teaching and helping others learn is my passion, and I've been doing it for over a decade. One thing I know is that students really benefit from tutoring because they have less trouble focusing. When teaching, I like to help students develop a personal understanding of the material that makes it their own knowledge. By this way, they won't have to memorize because they will know the information. If your child needs help in my subject areas, I am willing to work with them and help them meet their goals!
