About Amos

Hello, I am a certified educator with a generalist certification for 4-8th grade and a math certification for 8-12th grade. The generalist certification is for teaching all subjects 4-8. My preferred subjects for tutoring are english, math, and science. I started tutoring in 2010, and have been doing it on and off. Teaching and helping others learn is my passion, and I've been doing it for over a decade. One thing I know is that students really benefit from tutoring because they are able to focus much more than they do in school. When teaching, I like to help students develop a deeper understanding of the material so that they don't have to rely on memorization. If your child needs help in my subject areas, I am willing to work with them and help them meet their goals!
