Amiyah has reached out and apologized for her lack of communication. I genuinely believe she would have been a great nanny and that she has learned from this experience.** Unfortunately we were unable to hire Amiyah due to poor communication. After a great video call we extended the offer for an in person interview at a local café. We arrived with our 2 month old son at the agreed upon time and after waiting for 15 minutes we tried calling her. She texted us that she had an emergency with her dog(this is 100% a valid reason not to show up). We didn't hear from her again until the following morning saying she apologized for not being able to attend and to reschedule. After I text her asking her availability she did not respond. We are very understanding of having an emergency with her dog and not being able to attend, but there was a major lack communication after the fact and continuing to not reply is a major red flag in our eyes
