About Amiyah

As a new graduate with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I have gained valuable hands-on experience working with students across multiple grade levels. This past summer, I tutored daily and saw meaningful growth in students' reading skills using the Science of Reading and phonetic-based instruction. I have extensive experience assessing students' progress and collecting data to guide instruction and support individual learning needs. Throughout my teacher preparation program, I completed four practicum experiences in first, second, and fifth grade, as well as full-time student teaching in kindergarten. Through these experiences, I have built a strong foundation in teaching elementary math, social studies, science, and early literacy skills, while developing effective classroom management strategies and a passion for helping students grow academically and socially.
