I have been a nanny over 10 years now. I cared for children from newborn to 6 years old. I performed the following duties as a nanny: reading; singing and playing; bathing and dressing; providing food and drink; cleaning bottles and clothes; supervising and aiding in various children's social activities (birthdays, play dates, etc.); and after school programs assisting with homework. As a baby nurse I have done the following: cleaning and sterilizing bottles; child bathing with special care for circumcision and umbilical cord; feeding or assisting mom for night feeding; showing mom bottle and breastfeeding positions; documenting baby's patterns and keeping a log of sleeping, feeding and changing times so you can transition the baby to a regular schedule; timely changing of infant clothing and bedding; keeping the baby's bedroom organized.
