About Amiela

I'd describe my personality as caring, attentive, and curious. I like caring for seniors because I like learning from them. I'm looking for a job that is active and meaningful. I like hands-on work, and I like getting know people and helping them. I spent almost two years working as a nursing assistant in the University of Iowa hospital, where the majority of my patients were seniors. In this role I also gained experience caring for people with dementia. In my spare time, I like reading, doing art, cooking, and spending time with my friends. One thing you should know about me is I will go above and beyond as a caregiver. In addition to my extreme thoroughness with activities of daily living, I hope to be an intellectual companion. I am very happy to talk, read aloud, watch movies, among other activities. I hope that we can keep each other company, stay mentally active, and learn from each other. My skills include attention to detail, communication, and empathy.
