Hello, my name is Amia. In 2019, I graduated with my bachelors degree in Psychology and Elementary Education. I have been in childcare for over 7 years. This journey started with babysitting, working as an infant teacher in a daycare, working as a preschool teacher, to teaching first grade for 5 years. I am capable of working with any age group of children and have open availability.

Amia was amazing! She was very communicative and updated us frequently.  This was the first time we left our three month old with a babysitter and I would hire Amia again in a heartbeat.  She is very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable leaving my baby boy with her. 

When I first logged onto Care.com I was a little nervous since it was my first time using the site for babysitting, but Amia was so great! We needed a baby sitter last minute and she was available to help. Came into our home ready to play, read and sing to our 10-month old baby boy. 

She was punctual, patient and friendly. We will definitely reach out to her again in the future! 

Amia is an incredibly responsible and friendly sitter who was great with my kids.  She read an entire collection of 5-minute stories with my son who really just wanted to spend time with her. When we tell the kids that mommy and daddy are going out and Amia is going to be with them, they get incredibly excited.  She's the best!

Unreliable. I told Amia I needed her for two days, she said perfect and that she was available. I spent days communicating with Amia. The day before Amia was supposed to babysit, she asked me for details. I told her the details, she then responded that she would be out of town. Amia wasted my time, and left me scrabbling for another sitter.

This was the first time leaving my babies with someone and Amia made this whole experience easy and comforting. She is very dependable, my sons love her. She is great with sticking to their daily routines, and providing lots of updates and pictures. Amia is very friendly, and professional. Would definitely recommend and hire again!!

She was on time and a breath of fresh air! My kids enjoyed being watched by her. She also kept me updated throughout the night like I requested. She's awesome!

Extremely nice. Amia knows how to talk and play with kids.  All 3 of our children (6 years old, 4 years old and 2 years old) love her.

I'm a foster parent to two girls, ages 6 and 8, who benefit from predictable routine and have some challenges due to what they've experienced. Amia was incredible: she kept to our routine and took notes. She immediately established a positive rapport with the kids and put me at ease. She drew from her experience as a first grade teacher along with what I shared to deescalate a potentially challenging situation.  I highly recommend her.

I recommend Amia to any struggling mum in dire need of help with children. She is very dependable at short notice. She won't bale on you. I got her at short notice and she responded on time and answered all my questions regarding Covid19 test and status. She arrived on time at the start date with all smiles. She is kind and lovable. She gives love to my 4year old as if she is her child...she was not obligated but she bought her winter shoes and barbie. I had her for one week only because i was not feeling too well and needed rest at home. The only thing you should know that is not a negative but is something you should know is that, she sticks to her gun :) if an emergency arise away from the norm or agreement she may not bulge...she is very formal with regards to agreement which is a good thing but also not too good as emergency can arise at anytime. Aside being too formal, she smiles a lot and she is beautiful outside and inside too. I recommend her even in my sleep.

Amia is absolutely great! She is caring , sweet, dependable and very hard worker. I love her, she is the best.
