About Amelie

Hello! I'm Amelie and I'm 19 years old. I am a playful, interactive being and enjoy spending time with children and their bright minds. I'm big on positive reinforcement. While time-out can be a useful tool, I like to draw upon techniques that aid in the child's emotional development. I mainly use a Montessori method with play and the learning-by-doing approach. I am also a very musical and artistic person and like to incorporate that in play. I would love to talk to you about what you are comfortable with and the norms that you would like me to continue with your child. I've been around kids my whole life as my mom is a professional child caregiver and educator. From her, I have learned educational activities such as musical and speech therapy games. I was a junior ski instructor, where I did private and group lessons from ages 3 to 8. I have also had a couple of regular babysitting jobs. I do have another job I work around, so feel free to reach out and tell me what you need.
