About Amelie

Hi, my name is Amelie! I love working with and taking care of kids. I have been babysitting my younger brother and his friends since I was 11 and I used to work at a summer camp. At the camp I worked with 8 to 9-year-olds. I'd describe my personality as creative, fun, caring. I like working with kids because I love getting to be creative and adventurous with them. In my spare time, I like to paint, take photos on my film camera, go hiking, go to the beach, and sew. One thing you should know about me is I love doing arts and crafts with the kids and will bring a bag with me full of crafts that the kids can use if they want. I also love baking and cooking so if the kids are old enough I love making cookies or similar things with them. My skills include ability to deescalate situations, connect with the child's likes and interests, and provide a comforting space for the child.
