About Amelia

My name is Amelia and I have been a caregiver part-time or full-time for the past 10 years now. Through the years I've worked for kids across all ages, using my psychology degree to meet children where they're at developmentally. For the past four years, I've specifically been working with infants and toddlers. This has helped me hone in on my communication skills, as well as my ability to multi task; getting laundry started, while making lunch, putting the dishes away, and making sure the toddler doesn't teach the baby how to jump off the couch. We've all been there right? I love to use my sense of humor as a way to relate to the children and broaden their imagination. Fostering their autonomy, confidence, and joke de vivre is of the utmost priority to me, after their safety. A family I've been working for for the past 2 years is moving out of state. After taking the summer to spend my last bit of time with them, I'm looking for a new job come mid September!
