About Amelia

I'm Amelia and I'm currently in a PhD program for environmental science. I have a passion for childhood education and look forward to working with students. I view education as a foundational part of being a scientist. Additionally, I attended a liberal arts college with an emphasis in writing skills. I have been successful with multiple grant applications during my PhD. I apprenticed, designed and taught summer classes, field trips and on site school group programming at a STEM non profit to help students understand science and engineering concepts from ages 13-22. I also have designed curriculum and taught 4-5th graders all about water conversation topics. I look forward to helping make learning fun, engaging and successful for you or your child. In my free time, I also enjoy cooking and sewing. I am currently also tutoring an elementary aged child in sewing and have found this experience fun and rewarding for both of us.
