About Amelia

I'd describe myself as empathetic, caring, and supportive. I enjoy helping others feel comfortable, safe, and truly cared for. I love working with seniors because I value the connections I build while also making a positive difference in their daily lives. I started caregiving when my great-grandmother had a stroke and I moved in with her to help with her care. Since then, I've worked with seniors/seniors in hospice as well as adults with special needs and disabilities, which has strengthened both my experience and compassion. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, and painting. I have experience with meal preparation based on dietary needs, medication reminders, companionship, and personal care, including hygiene, getting dressed and mobility support etc. I always approach caregiving with patience, respect, and attention to each person's individual needs, and I value clear communication with families.
