About Amelia

If you’re looking for an elder care professional who is equal parts guardian angel, professional, and loving friend, look no further than Amelia. She cared for our grandmother with a level of attentiveness and compassion that is hard to put into words, although I will try. She made sure Grandma was safe in her own home (and let me tell you, convincing a 94 year old woman who loves to cook but has had two strokes that she can’t lean over the stove is no small diplomatic feat). Amelia went out of her way to get Grandma involved in enrichment activities and always seemed to be thinking one step ahead about what she might need or enjoy. My grandma has aphasia and Amelia was always working with her to help her recognize words, make connections between words, and help her be better able to communicate in anyway way that she could. She didn’t need constant instructions. She simply took initiative, made the right calls, and did so with warmth, sweetness, and genuine care. She was a joy to have around, and you could not find anyone better. If I ever need elder care in the future, Amelia will be my first (and only) call.
