About Amber

I am a Registered Nurse with 10 years of experience, beginning my career at UMMC. My background includes both hematology/oncology and cardiac ICU care, with experience in hospital and clinic settings. I started pediatric private duty nursing about two years ago as well. I have administered chemotherapy and provided comprehensive care for patients with complex medical needs, including cancer and post-operative recovery. In the cardiac ICU, I cared for patients recovering from open heart and thoracic surgeries, developing strong skills in high-acuity and post-surgical care. I am experienced in managing post-operative incisions, wounds, wound vacs, tubes and drains, ostomies, and orthopedic devices. I am also skilled in central line care (including PICCs and ports) and medication management. I bring a well-rounded clinical skill set, strong attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care, with a focus on safety, comfort, and dignity.
