Bringing comfort and support to those in need is my calling. With a decade of experience as a personal care assistant. I have been employed with the VA hospital as a private contractor, taking care of spinal cord injured vets in their homes for 20+ years. Have spent the same amount of time taking care of elders with dementia and other challenges in care facilities, and in my own family . I'm passionate about promoting well-being and independence. My background includes successfully adapting to changing routines, de-escalating stressful situations, and handling confusion with patience and calm. I prioritize understanding each person's unique preferences and history. I provide transportation, run errands, handle light housekeeping, and prepare meals. I communicate updates verbally during visits. Supporting others brings me immense satisfaction, and I look forward to bringing my skills to your family.
