I'm from a large family that has always pitched in to help elderly/sickly family members. It was second nature to just help and care for someone in need. Approximately 4 years ago I began providing companionship/caregiving as a profession. I have had several clients from different ends of the spectrum as far as needs go. I have done as little as companionship to housekeeping, cooking etc to medical care as far as bathing, dressing, toileting etc. I treat everyone how I want my family cared for and try to bring a little sunshine into their days. Most recently I lost a dementia patient of 4 years sadly, which has opened up the 4 days a week I spent with him.
