About Amber

When our son was six months old, we had already gone through 2 different caretakers. There was nothing wrong with college students nannying on the side, but we decided we wanted someone long-term for whom nannying was not a side job but their professional career. We found Amber and eight years later, we are struggling to find the words to explain how lucky we were to have her help raise our son and daughter (who came a few years later). Amber came into our home every day not to just make sure our children didn’t hurt themselves but to help grow them into good human beings. She didn’t park them in front of the TV. She took them outside to play. She cared about the food they ate. She cared about the exercise they got. Having watched kids her whole live, she knew all of the developmental stages and when to introduce certain games, activities, and thoughts. She showed up every day with an incredible amount of energy, with humor, and with just the right amount of discipline to help our kids make good choices even while giving them the room to make mistakes. When we write this review now, it’s hard for us to even think of Amber as our nanny because she’s become a member of our family. She loves our kids. Our kids love her. And we are all better for having her in our lives. We cannot recommend her highly enough. We know she will love your kids just as much as she loved ours, because that’s just the person she is.
