Although I have no degree in this field, I do have professional experience working with children that have special needs. I have worked personally with a child that had cerebral palsy, as well as with children that have Down syndrome, are nonverbal, that have autism, ADHD/ADD, ODD, bipolar disorder, explosive anger, and cognitive delays. I have worked with children that have these types of conditions for 2 years. One year at a middle school, specifically in a room for children with behavioral disorders, but also in the classroom for children with special needs. I spent the second year, solely in the classroom for children with behavioral disorders, at a high school. These 2 years have given me ample amounts of experience with various types of needs, as well as the ability to assist children with their school work.
