About Amber

I have always been blessed to get to work with children. My mother is a retired second grade teacher, and I spent my middle school and high school years volunteering in her room or somewhere else in the school where she worked. I went to college to study sociology and psychology in hopes of becoming a school counselor. I continued my education and received a masters degree in education with a focus on family and community services. During the time I was in college, I started having my children. I worked in the public school system, but when my daughter was labeled with some special needs, I quit to homeschool her. As she grew up and was able to do some things more independently and while my son enjoyed his charter school in public school experiences, I began working as a children's pastor. The best thing about working with children is realizing how unique each child is and figuring out how to love them and serve them where they are.
