About Amaya

Hi! My name is Amaya, and I have several years of experience providing compassionate, dependable care for older adults. I previously worked as a Home Health Aide with Comfort Keepers, supporting seniors maintain independence at home. I also have experience supporting individuals living with dementia and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a calm, supportive environment. I believe caregiving is about more than completing tasks; it's about building trust, listening, and making sure someone feels respected and cared for. I have a degree in American Sign Language and can communicate with Deaf and hard-of-hearing older adults, helping provide accessible care. I am patient, organized, and passionate about helping older adults remain safe and independent in their own homes. I am currently looking for part-time senior care opportunities focused on companionship and non-medical support.
