I am a former teaching assistant. I graduated from Binghamton University with my bachelors degree in "Human Development," and minor in "Education," in 2015. After graduation, I moved back home and began working as a teaching assistant for Abilities First Inc. In this position, I gained experience working in both 1:1 and group settings with a variety of students with developmental disabilities. I was with this agency for 5 years and then made a switch to Arlington Central School District where I also worked as a teaching assistant primarily with general education Kindergarten for another 5 years. Now, I currently reside in Highland, NY with my husband. We were recently married in October 2023. I am in the process job searching. In the mean time, I am hoping to find a consistent Care position for the time being while in this transitional period of my life.

Ok, Amy (Amarelis) is a *wonderful* caregiver and educator. She is loving and flexible yet firm. She is totally dependable. We have worked with many, many sitters and almost none approached the job with so much dedication. She came up with daily educational crafts, engaged our 3yo in new books she chose for him, motivated him with a potty training sticker chart, and they laughed all the time. All her references mentioned how hardworking and professional she is in her grade school job and I agree 100%. You will be so lucky to work with her!
