About Amara

Hello! My name is Amara. I have 10 years of childcare experience, starting from being a mother's helper as an early teen. More recently, I graduated from West Chester University in 2021 with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. During college, I worked as the director of a Before and After School program that caters to the local elementary and preschool. I have also nannied for years. I have been trained in CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety. Additionally, I have cared for up to 9 children at one time so, I can handle whatever comes my way. In my years of experience I have cared for children of many ages: ranging from 7 months to 11 years. I also have experience caring for children with slight special needs. For example, I was a nanny to a non-verbal, autistic 4-year-old boy. I also cared for an 11-year-old boy with Asperger's.
