About Amara

Hi! I'm a warm, upbeat caregiver with four years of babysitting experience and a degree from NYU. I love helping kids learn and grow while making sure they feel safe, supported, and happy. I'm especially skilled at helping kids with their homework and making schoolwork feel less stressful and more approachable. I also enjoy getting kids outdoors-whether that's going to the park, playing games, or just getting fresh air-and I love taking them to museums and other fun spots around the city. I'm creative, too, and always up for board games, arts and crafts, or puzzles. I enjoy cooking and am happy to prepare meals, and I'm also comfortable with light housekeeping and supervising swimming. I'm First Aid trained and keep parents in the loop through texts, calls, or in-person updates. It's important to me that every child and family feels comfortable and respected. I'm open-minded and progressive, and I want kids of all backgrounds to know they're safe and valued with me.
