About Amara

I'd describe my personality as kind, caring, and optimistic. I like working with kids because I want to be a good role model for them. I think kids are such a blessing and bring so much joy and goofiness into my life. I also enjoy learning more about how children of different ages think, react, develop, and the kinds of activities they like to do. I'm in school to be a nurse and I am interested in Pediatrics so I love gaining more experience with children. I'm looking for a job that is part-time and consistent as I am in college and would like to have a set schedule. I started working with kids when I began tutoring at my church in high school. However, I got paid to work with kids as a YMCA After School Counselor, when I started college. In my spare time, I like to hangout with friends, read, crochet, and dance! My skills include being patient, proactive, and a good listener.
