About Amanda

Hey! I'm Amanda. I work as a Direct Support Professional where I assist people with significant disabilities and provide hands-on support to them. I have also volunteered as a teacher's assistant as various elementary schools, such as Dondero Elementary School in Portsmouth, NH, Horne Street Elementary School in Dover, NH, and also Woodman Park Elementary School also in Dover. I have experience with caregiving, communicating individual needs, staying calm in unexpected situations, and creating a safe and supportive environment! I am CPR and First Aid trained and genuinely love working with children. Because of my background as a direct support professional, I am also comfortable discussing care for children with developmental disabilities and higher support needs. Most of all, I want children to feel safe, comfortable and have fun in my care! Some of my interests are theater, art, and Disney!
