About Amanda

Great to meet you--I'm Amanda! I'm a 27-year-old working professional and Montrose resident who has cared for children since babysitting became my first job as a teenager. After moving to Houston in 2023 for my professional career, I chose to continue childcare alongside my full-time work because I genuinely enjoy working with kids. Over the past three years, I've worked with Houston families in a variety of settings, including daycare care for groups of children ages 3-12, date-night sitting, mother's helper roles, and long-term after-school nannying. I bring a calm, mature, safety-minded approach and adapt my communication and boundaries to each child's age and personality. I'm CPR/First Aid certified and have reliable transportation for pickups and activities. I'm a UT Austin graduate with a minor in Spanish and can incorporate basic Spanish when helpful. I'm also an experienced pet sitter and longtime poodle owner/groomer. I'd love to get to know your family!
