About Amanda

As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet! This is especially true if your pet has special needs or requires medication. I have several years experience working with pets of all ages and temperaments, from puppy walks to senior cat care. I'm comfortable administering oral medication, as well as providing subcutaneous injections such as insulin. My approach is to care for each pet as if they were my own, and to keep their routines as consistent as possible to avoid unnecessary stress. A little bit about me: I'm finishing a PhD in Clinical Research at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and I have a fairly flexible schedule. I love to play baseball and softball in my spare time so you might spot me on a field somewhere in the city! At home, I have one senior dog who is diabetic with Cushing's disease, and one younger cat. They are my cuddlebugs. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pets!
