About Amanda

Hi! I'm a fun-loving, nurturing, and dependable 50-year-old mom and grandma who recently moved from Wisconsin to beautiful Carlsbad to enjoy a new adventure and the sunshine! With over 20 years of nanny experience, I love building trusting relationships with children and creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. I'm also an animal lover and am happy to care for your dogs and cats. My background includes studies in education and degrees in Plant Biology and Natural Resources. I believe children learn best through play, conversation, and everyday experiences. I especially enjoy outdoor adventures that encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of nature. I'm happy to prepare healthy meals and snacks, encourage good eating habits, and help with child-related laundry and light housekeeping. My goal is to provide attentive, loving care that gives parents peace of mind and helps children feel happy, safe References available upon request.
