About Amanda

As a mother and teacher, children have been the focus of my life's work. I have a strength for working with students & children that struggle with academics. I'm passionate about helping those in need. I'm supportive, caring, and patient, especially with kids. I enjoy tutoring kids and watching their growth in academics and confidence. I'm searching for work that allows me to support others. I started tutoring students 8 years ago, after school through my county's Hospital Homebound program (students unable to attend school), later expanding services for other struggling students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running/hiking in nature, traveling w/friends and family, knitting/crochet, cooking, and puzzles/solves. I deeply care about the well-being and successes of every child. As a teacher and coach, my expertise is in assessing and determining the strengths and weaknesses of students, developing a plan of action, and setting goals with students and parents.
