Currently, I work as a I traveling STEM educator with Mad Science, where I lead fun, hands-on science programs for kids in preschool through 5th grade. I just graduated from Sacred Heart University with a degree in neuroscience Yep, I'm a total science nerd. Before SHU, I spent 2 years studying French patisserie in New York. I'm currently back to Care looking to take on more childcare hours as I continue my academic journey. I am very open to meal prepping if the timing allows! I'm an all-in, no-screen kind of sitter - expect crafts, backyard adventures, science experiments, silly games, and some baking. I'm also trained in medical administration and EpiPen use, and I take allergies seriously (as someone with my own). Amanda was an amazing member of our family throughout our time with her. She is punctual, bubbly and so patient. Some of our family’s favorite things about her is the absolute lack of screen time our two children saw (really only when she was prepping in the kitchen, 1-2 hours a week) and the fact that she does not talk down to or baby our children. She speaks to them like individuals capable of understanding. While we have grown out of our child care needs, the next family will be oh so lucky!
